Board President Kathryn (Kate) Penland…

is an Arizona native who immigrated to the San Francisco Bay area in 1985 for a 30 year career in Corporate Tax Consulting.  She now lives full time in Tubac with her retired husband Reid and enjoys being out of doors more than anything else, save serving on the TCCF Board.

 

Board Vice President Rochelle Ulrich …  

moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1961. After a career, and raising a family, ended up in Tubac, Arizona in 2007. She has been an active volunteer for the TCCF, Tubac Historical Society, and the Tubac Presidio State Park.

Board Secretary Brenda Camou …

A native Michigander, Santa Cruz County has been home since the 70’s.  For many years Nogales was home where I taught and served two terms on the Nogales City Council. Since retiring in Tubac I have been involved with the Tubac Presidio, Tubac Historical Society and of course, the Tubac Community Center.

Board Member Kim Etherington …

An Arizona resident since 1993, Kim and her husband built their home in the foothills east of Tubac in 2002. She worked for the Tubac Chamber of Commerce and served on the Tubac Historical Society board and the Santa Cruz County Planning and Zoning Commission. Kim enjoys hiking and learning about desert flora and fauna.

 

Board Member Grace Alegria …

Member of a family that has lived in Tubac for several generations.  Recently retired from the Whipple Observatory after working there for 30+ years.  Volunteered with the Tubac Fire Department as an EMT and was an active member of the Santa Cruz County Search and Rescue group for several years; currently a member of the Tubac Historical Society.

 Board Member Ellen Levey…

I live on Bainbridge Island WA but have been coming to Tubac AZ for a portion of the year for 14 years. I previously worked as a vocational rehabilitation counselor but have not been employed for a long time. I think that Tubac is a very special community with wonderful people. The Community Center is a wonderful gathering place and I truly enjoy the times when I am able to volunteer at the Front Desk.

Board Member Claire McJunkin …

Moved to Tubac in 1986 with husband and son and instantly fell in love with the area.  Worked in the family business in Nogales, had the honor to be on several boards and wrote for years for the local Villager newspaper.

Board Member Reid Penland …

Retired now from a 30 year career as Alameda County Surveyor, Reid looks to participate in as many outdoor activities as the days allow.  Besides serving on the TCCF Board, he also serves on the board of Friends of the Santa Cruz River(FOSCR), and most recently he and wife Kate are creating a neighborhood Tubac park.
