Our Trees came Friday, April 30 right on time, along with a small army of volunteers, mostly from the Tubac Community Garden (TCG) to help plant them. This was a big job, made even more difficult by the river rocks unearthed by the excavation. Those TGC volunteers really know what to do with shovels and rakes.

This Project: Planting for a Better 2021 taps into the spirit of why Tubac is such an extraordinary place.
From participation by Santa Cruz County Public Works Department, to the generous financial contributions from our residents, to the volunteers who gave of their time (an energy) to place these lovely trees in the ground in front of the Community Center, this was one project we can all be proud of.
